Michael Tabasko received his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) from Ithaca College. With over 8 years of clinical experience prior to joining the COR team, Mike began practicing at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute in Los Angeles before moving on to work with occupational and athletic populations in Boulder, Colorado.
He has gained extensive experience in a wide variety of therapies, everything from treating pre- and post-operative musculoskeletal injuries to assisting elite-level athletes. Mike has continued to learn new techniques and modalities from attending continuing education throughout his career. The result is that Mike has developed his treatment approach integrating proven manual therapies with individually tailored strength and conditioning programs.
Designed to maximize and retain the results achieved in therapy, Mike believes a well-designed home program coupled with thorough patient education is one of the most important things a patient will take from therapy to empower them to best manage their condition. Most recently, through preparation for the rigorous Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist Examination, Mike strives to utilize the most current evidence-based treatments to maximize the efficacy of your time in therapy.
Outside of work, he has been active with the organization Health Volunteers Overseas, teaching modern physical therapy abroad within the developing health systems of Vietnam and Peru. In his spare time, Mike is an avid cyclist; racing for the DC Mountain Bike Team, and enjoys backpacking, skiing and generally being active outdoors. |
